We are seeking a screenwriter with experience for a suspense film entitled "Floor Below". Below is the synopsis.
Jane and Travis are a newly married couple who just moved into their new house. Travis gets excited about the basement space and convinces Jane to remodel the basement with him. When three wanted, sinister criminals enter the home, thinking the house has not been sold yet, Jane and Travis are left in the basement trying to figure out a way they could escape the home with their phones a floor above and no windows in the basement to escape from. When the criminals gain suspicion they may not be the only ones in the home, they take extreme measures to keep whoever may be in the home inside.
We need a screenwriter who is experienced and can build a great tension, keeping audiences at the edge of their seat in a story that is exciting yet very terrifying. If applying, please explain what you could do for this script and at least one way you could create a great build of tension.
We are aiming for an R rating because we don't want to limit what you are allowed to write. Don't create limits with this film. If this situation happened in real life, the real life situation would most likely be an R rating. We are excited to see what you can bring to the table.
