Create a Gateway (ZWave to MQTT broker)

Description of the workpackage: Environment/Target platform The application shall be developed in C++. The target platform is based on an ARM Cortex A7 CPU. Usage of Qt in version 5.12 is possible, but not mandatory. The application shall run as a background task on Linux (Debian) The application shall use the openZWave Library V1.6 (latest official release) Functions Create a gateway that Receives data from ZWave, converts and publishes them via MQTT to the MQTT broker. Receives data from MQTT, converts them and sends the appropriate commands to the ZWave devices Can handle several devices of the same type (several buttons or motion sensors) Provides MQTT topics, which can be used to set the ZWave controller into an „Add mode“ and a „Remove mode“ to add and remove further ZWave devices. Provides an MQTT topic, which can be used to delete damaged/defective devices from the ZWave controller. Provides MQTT topics, which can be used to perform a hard or a soft reset of the ZWave Controller. Provides an MQTT topic, which can be used to request a list of all registered ZWave devices on the ZWave Controller. Provides an MQTT topic, which can be used to request the configuration of a dedicated ZWave device. Provides an MQTT topic, which can be used to request a list of all MQTT topics for all registered devices. Provides an MQTT topic, which can be used to request a list of all MQTT topics for a dedicated device. Parameters It shall be possible to define the ZWave controller via on application start, e.g. -d /dev/ttyACM0 It shall be possible to define a path for log files. e.g. -l /var/log/ (-l means a lower case L) Default log path shall be the application directory. In normal operations, the log output shall be reduced to a necessary minimum. Extended logging, e.g. for debugging purposes, shall be possible defining parameter -x. It shall be possible to show the application version by use of -v It shall be possible to show all available parameters by use of -h Optional The data shall fulfill the homie convention ([login to view URL]) Please provide an effort estimation with cost cap (maximum costs) and a timeline with estimated completion date once with fulfulling the homie convention and once without fulfilling the homie convention.
