TreeView control can be used to display directory structure; In the Page Load event of the Page, first the DirectoryInfo object of the Root directory (folder) is created and is passed to the PopulateTreeView method. This recursive function, first loops through all the Subdirectories (Subfolder) of the Root directory (folder) adds each directory (folder) as a Node to the TreeView. First need to drag treeview control from Asp.Net toolbox; Need to mention pathseparator, expanddepth, runat, imageset; Set autogeneratedatabindings as false. Next need to output the directory into a node and add the output to the tree in .cs file; Here need to validate parameters; Create a node for the directory; output each subdirectory; Output the current directories file; Here I will apply two condition: if the parent node is null, return this node; otherwise add this node to the parent and return the parent; Regarding automatically compression of data or ZIP- I need to generate the appropriate HTTP request message. Also need to also add the appropriate Content-Length: header specifying the size in bytes of the message entity body after compression -OR- send your HTTP message using Transfer-Encoding: chunked and forego the content-length specification. And On the receiving end, can instruct mod_deflate to use an input filter to decompress the information By the way, I need to know the details about 3rd party program from which the orders are created. Hello I will create a desktop application in WPF(C#) which will take a folder as config parameter. It will scan that folder for files(for orders) and will display order information on screen. I think after this you want to do so processing/manipulation on data and want to save them by zipping them into a zip file and then submit over http. The project seems easy and feasible. Just wanted to know that what kind of manipulation you want to do. How order file is structured. Please clarify some points 1- Will the directory structure always of same type or can be different ? 2-Order files are in which format (XML ?). 3-What enhancements need to be done in the existing order ? 4-How the data will be submitted over http/https , will it be some database or zip file will be uploaded to specific FTP ?
