We have a custom built image processing app, The tech stack is WinUI3 and C++. This is a desktop app for windows.
What we need is;
A virtual print driver, or any solution you would suggest?; that will send the image file from any image software (e.g. Photoshop, GIMP, Pixlr, etc). to our custom app. Sending means, it will open the file sent in our cusotm app.
For example;
assume I am using photoshop, I create an image. Then I want to send this image to our product for further processing... With a virtual printing driver, I guess I can select the virtual printer and send the file (any format like bmp, png, ai) to a predefined path/folder; then automatically open the file in our desktop app we have built. this is an app for image processing. I will send you the app so you can test.
the app was built in WinUI3 & C++. it is used to process an image imported to the canvas, and then send this as G-Code to a CNS machine. but this is not important for you. What driver (or whatever you suggest) needs to do is just sending file from any app to our app, and open the app, auto import the file (open the file in the app). as it should work from any app, I think virtual printer would be the best option. waiting your suggestion.
It will be sent to a target directory as for instance AI, and the app will be auto-launched (if it is not already on). The app is supporting AI files, so it will be opened in the app.
