I am an employee at a very busy Casino and am in the process of developing a Casino Player Rewards program. A rewards program is designed to reward customers on the amount of money they have played in our casino. Without implementing a network environment for our 20 machines per location, I have come up with an easier method and more cost effective than rewiring an existing casino. Below is an idea of what I am trying to do as it has already been done in other parts of the world.
Hardware: 2-wire connection PCB RFID READER / WRITER with I/O functionality
Purpose: Write to customers RFID Tag the amount of $$ they have played. The RFID PCB must be able to read the customers current dollar amount and add to this number. The hardware will always ADD to the RFID TAG. Only the software can subtract as an actual person is the only one who can pay a customer and subtract from their rewards card. Anytime that a customer inserts money into the Bill Acceptor the PCB RFID READER / WRITER will automatically write to the customers TAG.
Software: The application will be physically installed on an actual Computer or Kiosk that will read the customers card when they want to check their current points available. The application will be able to write to a server so that multiple locations will have access to this data. Each dollar amount will be given a point value determined in the admin side of the application. Example: A customer plays a $100 dollars worth of games. The point value would be worth .05 per dollar. So the customer would have earned a total of $5.00 for every $100 played. The customer wishes to redeam their points. So the Casino Attendant will give the customer a $5. bill and subtract the 100 points from the software. The application will then write to the customers RFID TAG and thus the customers TAG now reads 000000. When customer sits down to play another SLOT MACHINE the PCB RFID READER / WRITER installed at SLOT MACHINE will now write to the existing 000000 and add new amount inserted into machine. So if customer inserts $20 the new number on RFID TAG will be 000020. Please let me know if this is something that you can design for me. The counter on the SLOT MACHINE is a simple 2-wire TOTAL IN meter and just needs to send pulse count to the RFID READER / WRITER.
