Non-Profit Business Plan for U.S. Veteran Housing & Treatment

I need a business plan for homeless housing for male and female United States Veterans. The facility will include a physical & occupational therapy treatment center and a center for mental health, PTSD and drug counseling. I am seeking city of Chicago, Cook County, State of Illinois, federal and private grants and contracts to launch this venture, acquire the property and perform the necessary renovations required to open the facility. My business plan will need to reflect my ambitions and the positive affects it will have in the communities we serve and the rehabilitation to the wounded soldiers we intend to treat, and help become functioning members and contributors of society. My business plan should include the following elements: 1. An executive summary. Also known as a pitch, this should include charts and images to tell your story quickly and efficiently. 2. A financial plan. Develop an expense budget, a sales forecast, a profit and loss statement a cash flow forecast and a balance sheet. 3. A motto and an action plan. Set goals and milestones with accountability. 4. Performance tracking. Compare actual financial results with your planned financials and other key metrics. According to Forbes magazine, a successful business plan should also include the following 10 components: 1. Mission statement and/or vision statement so you articulate what you’re trying to create; 2. Description of your company and product or service; 3. Description of how your product or service is different; 4. Market analysis that discusses the market you’re trying to enter, competitors, where you fit, and what type of market share you believe you can secure; 5. Description of your management team, including the experience of key team members and previous successes; 6. How you plan to market the product or service; 7. Analysis of your company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threat, which will show that you’re realistic and have considered opportunities and challenges; 8. Develop a cash flow statement so you understand what your needs are now and will be in the future (a cash flow statement also can help you consider how cash flow could impact growth); 9. Revenue projections; and 10. Summary/conclusion that wraps everything together (this also could be an executive summary at the beginning of the plan).
