Content Writer

Roles and Responsibilities 1. Develop and execute content planning in line with business objectives and priorities Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.) 2. Edit blog posts, proofread, before publication and Submit for input to editors 3. Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles 4. Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic 5. Engaging with the audiences on social platforms Promote content on social media 6. Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone) 7. Identify customers needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics 8. Update website content as needed Desired Candidate Profile 1. Tech-savvy with an acumen to understand social networks. 2. Proficient in written English Both formal and social flavors 3. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Google Docs 4. Creative and innovative thinker and planner 5. Knowledge on Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress) 6. Portfolio of published articles will be added advantage 7. Experience/Knowledge as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role 8. Ability to meet deadlines 9. High school degree or equivalent; Bachelors degree in creative writing, journalism, English, or related field preferred
