We want to conduct surveys of all the schools in UP. A team of around 40k field workers will be working with us for the data collection exercise.
We need to develop an android application for the survey which will work with our backend. The application will fetch the survey form from our backend, which is mapped to the field worker’s mobile number.
For example, if we are surveying 100 schools. Each school has 10 classes. One teacher will survey 1 class. We have details of students of each school.
Now teacher will enter his/her phone number. Dataset mapped with the phone number will be loaded into the app. All the available data will be prefilled in the appropriate columns like name, age, height etc.
We required an android application for conducting surveys. We usually have two types of surveys. One where survey form and questions are same for each field worker like google forms with offline support. We will have a different table for each type of form on our backend. Once we upload a form on our backend and publish it, a data collection table will be created on our backend, corresponding to the form. Most of the time field workers do not have proper internet connectivity wherever they go also they don’t want to spend data continuously, so we required it with offline support. Where once a form is downloaded, data can be collected in offline mode and then can be submitted in one go.
In the second type of survey, the structure of the form and questions is same but some fields of the questionnaire are pre-filled with the details of the respondent like name, age and rest of the information required for different line items are filled by the field worker. The application will fetch the information from our backend, which is mapped to the field worker’s mobile number.
For example:

On submitting the form data will be saved and same blank form will open with some fields pre-filled with the data of next student and so on.
