Small CPA firm is seeking an experienced bookkeeper/payroll processor to join our team. Responsibilities include: performing bookkeeping tasks for clients, processing client payrolls and related reports, setting up direct deposit payments and filing reports online with taxing authorities in a timely manner, assisting in the preparation of client W-2s and Form 1099s, assisting with check-in and check-out of tax preparation clients and other various clerical duties.
Preferred candidate would have: extensive prior bookkeeping and payroll processing experience, knowledge of basic accounting principles, experience with QuickBooks or related software, basic knowledge of labor and tax law, the ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing, experience working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks on a deadline.
Associates Degree or higher and a minimum of 2 years accounting, finance, and/or bookkeeping experience is required. This is a full time position. This position offers generous benefits package. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
