Progress Dialog Box
I have a function call that takes roughly 5 minutes to complete. While this function is being completed I would like a dialog box that updates and displays the status of the function. What I am currently doing is not working.
See attached word document for more info.
There are two problems with this process.
a) I receive a contextSwitchDeadlock when running in VS 2005.
b) The status bar does not update in the form and end up being non-responsive.
What I need are:
1. ProgressBar to properly update as the loop progresses.
2. Cancel button to exit from the for loop so that I can clean up some things.
3. Image in the form to update when changed (not in current control).
4. Written in C# in Visual studio 2005.
5. Clear example on calling form from function in main program form.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
