You Need to Research and write a paper on the topic: The Impacts of Privacy and Security in the Election Process. As we discuss networking, security and privacy we find real world examples of class topics in the daily news. To name just a few: Russian hackers intercepting e-mails; the release of confidential data in WIKILEAKS and other sources; the release of audio/video tapes; the security of Texas voting machines compromised; NSA records made public. At no time in the history of US elections has information privacy been such a concern. Your first research paper will cover how information security and privacy have affected the US election. It should detail many of the recent events and their impacts. Include research to discuss the events and solutions that could have alleviated or even prevented the problems. You can add an historical perspective. Discuss the impact to other countries. What do you foresee happening before and during future elections? Include facts from other sources (all properly cited) as well information we’ve covered in class. Provide your own opinions and thoughts, as well as a synthesis of the information. I expect a thorough report of approximately 10 pages.
