Editorial Writing Jobs
Editorial writing is a writing approach which is meant to state the opinion of a newspaper, its editors, editorial board, or its publisher, in relation to current issue or event. It is usually composed of a statement of the issue at hand, background of the subject, including other views, and a concluding opinion or call for support. Aside from providing an analysis on the newspaper’s stance and drawing conclusions from it, an editorial may also aim to persuade readers to take a course of action.
There are several types of editorial writing. An article that discusses the background and significance of an event is an editorial of information. Meanwhile, an editorial of argument aims to convince the reader to take a similar stance upon explaining why the newspaper believes in that particular view There are also editorials of commendation, or those that seeks to praise an activity or event.
