Today the factory sent an update regarding the package dimensions. Length has decreased a bit so the new dimensions are 44cm (Length) x 17cm (height) x 7cm (width). The 4 bags inside the bag that goes into the box have the following dimensions which you can add on the packaging:

44 x 32 x 9cm
35 x 31 x 9cm
35 x 25 x 9cm
28 x 17 x 9cm

- Don’t mind about using product images in the packaging. This is more about finding a design language around the WUNDERPACK logo that makes for an attractive packaging which is a match for different kind of bags. The idea is that only colors will have to be adapted depending on which bag is inside the box but there is no complete design change needed

The bags may change, but our package design ought to remain the same apart from the colors used. This is also why descriptions are not that important at this stage. We'll add them in later on. You can use „lorem ipsum…“ as placeholders

- For exemplary purposes feel free to use aqua or dark blue as these will be our first colors. Any contrasting or better idea is welcome though

no further mandatory graphics are needed except the barcode. You are free to create shapes and colors at your best judgment

Ladies and gentlemen,

we are a German e-commerce company looking for a talented designer for long term cooperation in designing packagings for several brands.

Therefore we created this contest and we will start with a packaging design for our WUNDERPACK brand which
is selling top quality travel bags and traveling accessories.

Please find the logo files attached. The main brand logo color is "aqua" (kind of turquoise) but different color variations are provided as color language and corporate identity creation are up to you. Apart from the logos the brand identity has not yet been created so you have the chance to greatly shape it through your package design.

To give you a better idea - this will be our first two products, but under the WUNDERPACK brand and with your unique packaging of course:

Package dimensions: 48x17x7cm inner size
Colors: likely 2 colors, but their choice is entirely up to your best judgement
barcode: please find a dummy barcode attached. It will need 48,5x25,4mm of space

Final notes:

The whole point of the packaging is to stand out from the competition and to attract eyeballs on amazon. Feel free to be courageous and creative, but also we think that most often less is more - especially when wanting to make a premium, top-notch quality impression which is definitely what we want. Our bags are of greatest quality which ought to be reflected in the package design language.

This is the first time we do this, so if any vital information is missing please contact us immediately and we're happy to help wherever we can. We hope for a great long term cooperation to be able to apply modifications later on as well as to take on new design projects that are sure to come.

    Hello everybody,

    first off I want to thank each and every one of you for submitting your entries! I know how much work this is and it was my pleasure to get in contact with you.

    A winner has been selected and I want to encourage all of you to stick around in case of future contests. It might be that we reach out to one or the other for future projects.

    The base quality level of all entries was generally very high and it was a close call.

      BTW CH Keep in mind, your logos are mostly done in Vivid RGB (web) colors, some color will be pretty different in CMYK on standard printing technique.

      Another solutions is to mimic RGB with Neon Pastels or some fluorescent acrilic printing.. or some metalic color approach.

      thanks for asking! The bags are already done, all we need is the package and its design. Basically the cardboard box that the outer bag with all bags inside goes into.

    Hello, can you please clarify this:

    Does it mean you already have the box supply in mind and are asking for design to be printed on the box
    or
    are we supposed to design the physical box (including the die cut, thickness, folding) along with the graphic design?

      Our supplier didn't specify if they already have a specific box - they said "we can do whatever you want" so I assume it would be an advantage if you made a design proposition for the box as well including cut/thickness/folding

    - yes, descriptions are currently being done. You can use "lorem ipsum..." as a placeholder in the meantime

    - we don't intend to use product images on the packaging as this ought to be a one-fits-it-all design. You can go with aqua/turquoise as reference color or choose any of the other given logo colors. We'll start with aqua and dark blue, but the design needs to be adaptable to all other colors rather easily

    - as of this moment no further mandatory graphics are needed except the barcode

    - thanks for mentioning the bag sizes. They are definitely important to show on the packaging:

    4 Packing Cubes - Extra Large( 17.5" x 12.75" x 4") Large (13.75" x 12.75" x 4") Medium (13.75x9.75x4) Small (11" x 6.75" x 4"). Those values will have to be translated into cm though
