Logo for an established real estate company based in Hawaii named Home Sweet Hale Hawaii. “Hale” means “home” in native Hawaiian language. The company is currently under major branding overhaul that involves renaming the business and revamping the entire spectrum of their online and printed presentation.

SYMBOL:
The logo will communicate the connection to Hawaii with a picture symbol, preferably somehow blended from a pineapple, heart, and a house. It is an unusual combo, but this particular client goes great lengths to stand out from the crowd of more than 10k real estate agents in Hawaii. Research “Honolulu Cookie Company’ for possible uses of pineapple in branding.

PHILOSOPHY:
This real estate agency markets itself as an agency of the new generation as millennials are entering market to be the first-time home buyers. Home Sweet Hale’s presentation doesn’t follow the super-polished standards of well-established real estate companies, but it is very informal, happy, and colorful. For their team members, they don’t hesitate using ‘dorky’ pictures you’d find on Facebook instead of the traditional meticulously touched-up portraits. Their property video walk-throughs are very lively and fun.

COLORS:
Please check the attached PDF for color swatches to get inspired. We are looking at pastel and turquoise colors.

LOGO VARIATIONS
We need the primary logo to fit into horizontal rectangle 4:1 or 3:1 to be easily used as a logo on a website. We will also need a version for vertical use, but this doesn’t need be done now. We will contact the best standing artist for the vertical version before the contest concludes.

FEEDBACK
We’ll do our best to provide feedback as soon as we can, within half a day at latest. Shortlisted candidates will receive additional feedback helping to get as close as possible to the client’s vision.
