Art for marketing, possibly for eventual use as a young adult fantasy novel book cover in 300dpi 5.5 x 8.5" with wraparound cover, .25" border and .720" spine. Art will depict a knife, odd design (short, thin blade but large handle), simple, with bone handle, decorative silver wire scrollwork, sitting on old wooden planks. Blood is dripping from the tip of the knife, pooling onto the stage. Knife artistry skills important here, and I will need the original photoshop files from the winner for use as I see fit in marketing.

some of the early entries have lacked key details asked for in the submission guidelines. 1) knife needs to be resting on the old, weathered boards of a crude stage. 2) the handle is made of bone, but the graphical shape is inset with silver wire, pounded into the handle. 3) the blade is narrow and very short, but the handle is much longer. This is a knife used to pierce the hand of children in a dystopian ceremony to find out if they have magic - it's not useful for whittling, food preparation, fighting, etc. Please don't overdo the blood. Small amount of blood dripping from the tip of the blade. Full details are provided in the sample text from the novel itself. I hope this helps.
