Contest is to create artwork for a 4th of July themed project (primarily web graphic, possibly print). It must be in vector, ie Adobe Illustrator, format. The 3D in the attached examples is the end product, please DO NOT apply 3D, it's to show how it will be used.

Use the style similar to the attached examples. I'm looking for something visually striking that catches viewers attention. I don't want to waste your time so. here are some ideas to help achieve the look.

1) Search for iconic July 4th image as inspiration and or reference (eg fireworks) and create vector mosaic similar style noted in step 2. (hint: google images search - https://www.google.com/search?q=fireworks+vector+art&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=995&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi8wtz0ocvNAhVhVWMKHfk2ClAQsAQIJg#tbm=isch&q=4th+of+july+fireworks+vector+art+)

2) Create a vector illustration using the techniques and similar style of the following website that emulates stained glass from a reference image (in their example a bouquet of flowers). A little abstract and unique is good, but needs to stay about the same simplicity as the attached reference image. http://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-create-a-stained-glass-effect-in-illustrator--vector-3235

3) Please note that I don't need the background, I am looking primarily for the subject matter. See the attached example images from previous similar projects.

Please, no more fireworks coming from Statue of Liberty torch. Fireworks are better suited behind her to the left and in the white space, and well-balanced of course.
