I have a website that has slipped very badly in Google rankings. I will admit I am getting very frustrated by it. Weekly visitors to the site has dropped from over 200 weekly to single figures and those that click through to buy my services has died.

Before Google withdrew support for Macromedia Flash my website typically ranked on page one for keywords and I was getting good value enquiries a week and converting about one in three. Because of Google's decision, the site was re-written using JQuery, (and before you suggest another re-write, please note that I am happy with JQuery and the fundamental appearance of the site). But about a year after the JQuery re-write the rankings and the visitor numbers plummeted.

I know things need to change. I am planning to replace all of the main slider images with transparent PNGs (see sample attached), changed the background to something more low-keyand remove the thumbnails. I am also planning a much simpler home page with main category group headings, probably "Portraiture and Weddings", "Commercial", "Events", "Everything Else", and new intermediate sub-menu pages for each category. I know it needs HTTPS.

Please examine the structure of the website, especially main and gallery pages, metatags and contact page (as I am being pestered with bot-generated spam messages), and include consideration of Captcha software, HTTPS and anything else you feel needs addressing.

You must take into account the European General Data Protection Regulations which come into force on 25 May 2018. I cannot include anything that falls outside those regulations.

Please, bearing in mind that I am a photographer with my own commercial studio, highly rated within my immediate community, and that my client base is a mixture of local business mainly for domestic clients and commercial business for clients from local to worldwide, also report on my social media presence and how I can best improve it. What must I do daily, weekly, etc. My main social media presence is on Facebook, which is again dwindling in effectiveness, and I have a "bare-bones" Instagram presence which needs populating.

I have been on Twitter in the past but have withdrawn because of trolling. I am not planning to rejoin.

I was a paid member of Linkedin, but have gone back to basic membership as I could see searches were not showing serious commercial activity.

I am spending far too much time now chasing business and not enough time productively behind the camera. Having said that my income is stable, but my ROI has fallen. That needs to change.

So, please write a well structured report in good UK English, (not US English):
- examining my website and social media presence;
- identifying changes needed to the website;
- identifying changes needed to my social media presence, including social media sites where I am not currently an active member, and also being able to post to multiple social media sites from a single control panel, and how I need to change my way of dealing with social media in general;
- helping me to work smarter;
- covering anything else you see as pertinent.
